The OMS Portglenone Charity shop is an amazing resource for raising much needed financial support for worthy missionary causes in Colombia, Haiti and Ireland since its opening in June 2016.

It is situated in the lovely rural and welcoming town of Portglenone:

The OMS Portglenone Charity shop is greatly used of God to raise very necessary funds for evangelical Christian projects in Colombia, Ireland and Haiti. It has also given towards ministries in Ecuador as well.

I have the privilege of visiting the shop most Thursday morning especially for the prayer time between 10.00am to 10.30am in the Upper Room:

One of the projects the OMS Portglenone Charity Shop supports is Ministry in Ireland. It has provided funds for printing literature being distributed in N Ireland and also gives financial support towards Ministry in the Republic of Ireland. In addition to this it also raises funds for projects in Haiti and Colombia:

OMS Ireland are carrying out a survey to ascertain spiritual questions Irish people are asking. There will be two different surveys. The first is a larger questionnaire to find out the attitudes and opinions of Irish people. This will inform us on how to formulate the second questionnaire.

Each year an OMS Team along with a number of other Christian groups give out free drinks of juice and gospel literature to those taking part in the annual climb of Croagh Patrick.

The words: ‘He is not here, but has risen’ are a vital aspect of the gospel and bring great encouragement and peace to every Christian. The Christian message is that death is not the end. 1 Corinthians 15 v 3-4 affirms what we believe: ‘For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,’. In fact Paul went on to say: ‘and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain’ v14.

Bob and Esther Fetherlin served for eight years as missionaries to Mali, West Africa, with The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The C&MA). They then led the Africa region for seven years before being asked to lead the international missions work of The C&MA, which they did for more than 15 years. As the Lord was prompting them to transition from that role, the opportunity to serve with One Mission Society was presented.
